“Norma Jean” was purchased by us as a five year old and although a novice horse in the barrels, when asked to step up, she immediately began running Open Rodeo or rather 1D times. Norma Jean had that blazing quick speed and super rate of her sire, Iron Bird, an own son of Rocket Wrangler. When an injury retired her to broodmare status, she began producing for her new owner. Years down the road, her new claim to fame was the colt, Steps Tax Return, earner of around $100,000 in barrel racing. Norma Jean was leased by Rafter K Ranch for breeding purposes in 2006.
